How to Estimate your Log Home Project Cost
First determine the size home your interested in, or find a plan you'd like to build
Next take all four of the outside wall measurements and add them up....... (See example below)
Then determine the size and type of Log you want plus its price per linear foot cost.
After you know the total outside measurements multiple it by the number of course needs to build
In most cases its 12 courses for a 8' wall (if you pick the 8" Tall Log ) 8"x 12= 96" or 8' walls
Use this example for any floor plan you desire and you'll have all the Logs needed to build with
Exclude all window and door openings from your estimate..... this is for 4 solid Log walls
Excluding windows and doors allows for your Log corner material ( usually 16" overhangs )
Most floor plans have enough window and door openings to make up for the Log corner material needed
Note: We can estimate your Log Wall Package Price for you at no charge....
Just fax us your floor plan along with your desired Log Type and we'll do the rest....
